What is IGIG is a self editing platform that allows you to manipulate your websites content and pages.
With years of developmental push behind it, IG incorporates a wide range of capabilities designed to let both end website operator and professional developers work within it's structure to develop websites. It's strength lies in it's wireframe modeling of site structure with email, form and e-cart tie in and less like most website building programs that try to help one design a site online. IG is suited to work with Dreamweaver but anyone's outputted HTML design can be used. IG attempts to corral design and layout issues with a newly redesigned "deep" CSS file that allows control of design and system fonts, single default or home style templates and useful features to allow both end-users and developers the ability to map templates, change template appearance or select multiple design frameworks.

Security
One of IG's main strengths is it's functional security that allows adminstrators to setup users with various access rights. It allows the admin to hide pages or require login while all the data is case hardened by being encrypted onto the server. |
What kind of sites does IG do?
IG handles all sorts of website design criteria. Any website design or style can be accomodated. Multiple designs are supported so your website can have different designed sections. Data (pages) are hierachialy ordered and can be moved to be sub-sections of other pages. IG is suitable for any kind or style or size of company site from a 2 page brochure site to a 20,000 page online publication. It supports a number of simple, interactive and powerful style templates such as "Simple Page" and "Static List" while banner ad libraries work with images and "highlight page" styles take portions of other pages and put them into a highlighted mode suitable for newspaper or portal approach and e-commerce websites. |
An innovative approach.
The website design framework, custom and standard xsl style templates and data itself are all held seperate. (a departure from the days of html static pages) All pages could be considered "dynamic" except that IG issues each page a user defined clean URL name that is findable on the search engines. IG has been brought up with inherent search engine strengthening functions built in. One other thing we're excited about is our choice of using regular windows data structures to structure web page data. Having overcome common traditional folder based phobias we emerge with a system that is easily recognizable, restorable, copiable and directly manipulated in Windows Explorer. There is no esoteric or hard to comprehend database or database language involved. This selocetion has proved to be one of the product's defining characteristics. |
What about multiple designs?
IG frameworks selection field works right off of the framework folder viewable in FTP. Your desinger can upload a new design look and from there it be selected as an option in the IG interface by the website owner. Seasonal sites reflecting differing product lines, colors and moods for all seasons and/or holidays can be made into distinct framework directories and selected without effecting the website's pages or uploaded content. Similarly different pages of websites can have different looks. Any of a website's links can be set to a different design framework for powerful visual effects or to visially differentiate a website's content sections. |
Strong navigation flexibility.
IG was built around navigation. It has various methods and mechanisms for doing virtually any navigation and combination of navigational modes conceivable. Drop down menus, gethtml calls to sub sections, hardcoded image button links, appaaring/diappearing horizontal sub-children, automatic breadcrumb and footer style link listing.. With a knack and style for exploring navigational formats IG has handled them all and continues to power world-class results when it comes to clear and consistent site navigation. |
Can IG do e-commerce?
E-commerce is the cornerstone of the four IG licensing models. All IG licensing models come packed with available page style templates to build off of. IG Newsletter ads "Lists Management" capabilities to maintain different mailing lists and be able to proactivly contact your growing email list to get the word out. IG commerce is a fully secured full-function commerce section with seperate ship to/bill to, configurable options for calcualting shipping and tax, Paypal, credit card and purchase order capabilities and a selection of product and product list presentational styles including product multi-views with customizable entry fields gives the online vendor all the options they could need for building an online commerce site. Multi-user allows for multiple users with varying access to the IG powered website with capability to view section or sections or edit a section or sections. With a hieracial and inherited settings, IG multi-user aspect allows all levels of access right restrictions and privileges. |
