Solar Panel The battery is actually an array of batteries that the solar panel charges during the daytime to provide energy for the evening hours. A properly designed system can provide 100% off grid electtical capability.
The "module" is the solar panel, usually an array of panels, several wired together to form a "ring".
The "Inverter" is the sunny boy, Xanthrax or other manufacturer inverter of DC to AC current.
Ground has to be found and 100%. The payback period is measured in so many months we wonder if there even is a break even point considering it's size expense and exposure to the elements.

Azimuth Tracking
| | | | 2 Azimuth tracking concept. | Effective solar panels arrays track the sun both as it rises between seasons and throughout the day. |
Planetary Dispersion
| | | | Dispersion of the Sun's energy measured as Watts per meter squares. |

Sunny Boy Electronics
| | | | Sunny Boy Power Converters | The Sunny Boy series of electronic controllers that convert solar DC into Household 220 AC current. |
Panel Specifications
| | | | Sanyo is just one of many solar panel manufacturers. | Typical electrical specific characteristics of a solar panel. Due to their extreme cost to produce any usable amounts of electricity, solar panel is a "yellow" technology in that the cost for the panel partially goes into the vast amounts of electricity and energy used to create the device, equal to or more than it will produce over the course of it's life. (usually 20-30 years) |
